In 2019 we truly live in the wonderful future our parents dreamed of. We are able to compete in the international space, and offer our products and services to customers from all over the world. But it is still not easy. Political upheaval, internet infrastructure and existing bias are all factors we need to overcome. This talk will delve into the opportunities available to us, how and why popular open source CMS’s are part of this, and how we can overcome the limitations we may face. I’ll be sharing some of the success stories of folks I’ve either met in person or via the internet who are making their mark on the tech world.
